Harry Potter

Okay so last night we went and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blooded Prince. Yay exciting right!? Not so much. I was surprisingly dissappointed. I am definitely a big Harry Potter fan and loved all the books but this movie just didn't do it for me. Something was missing, it lacked that magically spark haha, but really. I have to admit, but don't tell Colin because I will deny deny deny, that I fell asleep for a second in the middle. Granted we did see the movie at 9:30 pm which dragged it way past my bed time. Hermoine was brillant, (love that girl) and Harry is getting better looking by the movie but the the total package was slightly, I hate to say it.....blah. And what the heck is up with the word snogging? It sounds gross. Don't get me wrong the movie is still a must see but you can wait until it comes to the dollar theater if you ask me.
PS Upcoming photos of the Montana trip and Colin's birthday! My husband is 24! how crazy is that?

This Crazy Little Thing Called Love

So since we are new to this big blogging world, I thought that I might tell a little bit about how me and Colin ended up being me and Colin for anyone who doesn't know how this fabulous union came to be.

We are both from Orem, we went to good old Orem High School. He was a senior when I was a sophmore and we never met. He was on the basketball team and I went to all of the basketball games I just can't for the life of me remember him. I always say what if we brushed each other in the hall, we had no idea we were passing out eternal companion on the way to lunch. weird. anyways it's probably good we didn't meet in high school. I would have been too crazy and immature for him and he would have been too cocky and too cool for school attitude for me.
We met for the first time on the romantic shore of Utah Lake. There was a big bonfire going on that night that someone of my girlfriends invited me to so we headed over there. There must have been a hundred people there and me and my friend denae decided to go and meet as many guys as we could ( I was quite the flirt back then). So I was making my way around the bon fire and all of the sudden I made eye contact with him..... my future husband. My heart started beating rapidly, My face turned bright red, my head was spinning and I knew it was love at first sight. ok so that didn't really happen. We met, we introduce ourselves, we found out we went to the same high school, and then we parted. That was it.
So a few months go by and I am at a pants party (i don't even know what that means, but I was there) and look who walks in and tries to dance with me. It's mr colin schmutz. I was like "oh hey I know you" and he was like "oh yeah we met that one time, wanna dance?" but the party had kind of turned into a dud so me and my crew were rolling out. a few days later I stumble across Colin on FB and I took the plunge and added him. I mean he seemed like a cool character and he was smoking hot. Then he starts chatting with me over the course of a week or so and multiple times gives me his number and tells me to call him. What nerve seriously? Who does this boy think he is? so I don't call him but a week later for some unknown reason I text him and we ended up hanging out later that week. He then realized he wanted me and asked me out on a date. Our first date was the drive in where duh you have to cuddle, he planned that I'm sure. He claimes it was like our fourth or fifth date before we kissed but it was like the third time we hung out. He was hooked. We were inseperable ever since. Got engaged in January and married in April and now we are living happily ever after. I love my Coliflower (he hates when I call him that.... really he hates it)

Summer

Summer-

I love summer! It is my favorite season. I love everything about it, the heat, the time off school, the smell, the bbq's, and the 4th of july! I have recently realized that as you get older summer loses some of it's carefree-ness and charm. I sit in an office all day long looking outside my big windows at the beautiful weather and wishing I could be out there. My skin is so white and pastey i'm embarrassed to wear shorts. Then when I come home I'm busy doing dinner or projects or whatever that I don't have time to go enjoy the weather. So I don't feel like it's really summer, and then I realized that my summer is basically half way over! wow that went fast. So I'm making some summer time goals that I want to make sure I do before the weather during horrid and we are all stuck in doors again.

1. throw a BBQ in my backyard
2. float the river
3. get a tan!
4. go on a bike ride
5. go on a hike
6. run through the sprinklers
7. take a long drive up the canyon
8. make homemade ice cream
9. watch a movie in the backyard.
10. call in sick for work and go swimming all day.
